Requirements to Getting Enter
Registration for Puerto Vallarta Mexico by UTMB® opens in December 2021 and trail runners can choose from the distances to participate. Most of the routes pass through the Sierra Madre Occidental, a sacred location in the Wixárika cosmovision, which served as the source of motivation for the layout and names of each route: Wixárika (100 miles) means "the person of deep heart," Hikuri (100 km), also known as peyote, is regarded as a teacher and is referred to as "the wise," and Nakawé (55 km), recognized as "mother water." Happily, the beach at Puerto Vallarta, one of the most famous tourist spots in the Mexican Pacific, will serve as the finish line.
Note that this type of challenge often entails both physical and mental demands, so it is crucial to take the required safety precautions. The number of available places is limited, and will be permitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Entries will be accepted beginning in December after the courses' specifics are made public.
